The following is something I came up with for my Legion players so they could see just how much mental errors make a difference in a game. By analyzing game footage and discussing individual plays, players can identify patterns in their decision-making that lead to mistakes. This process not only highlights the importance of mental clarity but also introduces overcoming selfdoubt strategies to enhance their confidence. Implementing these strategies can significantly reduce errors and elevate overall performance in future matches. By prioritizing this analysis, players can progress toward mastering the mental game, which is essential for sustained success. Building a strong mental foundation allows them to stay focused and composed under pressure, ultimately translating into better on-field performance. As players continue to practice these skills, they will find themselves making quicker, more effective decisions during critical moments in a match.
I have it on a clipboard and I put it up in the dugout by the gate so they will see it as they will go out on the field. Believe it or not, it has worked extremely well. They see this and become more focused the second they walk out on the field.
