The Many Uses For Our Baseball Hitting Mat Turf Pieces
A baseball hitting mat has various reasons to be on your field. Most teams buy the size based on the level of play & where they will be used most. For instance, a high school baseball team will buy a baseball mat for batting practice because it is exactly the size of the batter’s box at that level of play. They might purchase two so they have one for the RH batters & another for their LH batters.
A secondary use for any size mat might be for coaches to use while hitting fungo or for daily infield drills. They can even be used for pitching batting practice when there is no rolling pitching platform available. Note that we now offer 4′ x 12′ models that are specifically designed for pitching BP!
Buy Pro Turf Baseball Hitting Mats Or Pitching Mats That Will Hold Up Over Time
Any of our pro turf baseball hitting mat sizes will last many seasons!
They are made of the same nylon that is found on many turf baseball fields. The face weight is heavy with each fiber being thick and close together. The 5 mil foam backer that we add is made for the outdoors (can be used indoors too) so won’t rot or mold. It will give a firm cushion that is noticeable. Our mats can be left outdoors during all seasons though like anything else, may last even longer if brought indoors during any offseason.
