An Unusual Versatile Team Baseball L Screen With Hood | Indoor Batting Practice Pitcher Protection

It’s Our Best Selling Team Series L Screen With Hood…

Well, it’s actually very close. Same 1 1/2″ galvanized steel frame, same detachable legs allowing for easier storage and same heavy weatherproof double sided net
Basically, we bent the steel frame at a slight angle to protect the old coaches remaining brain cells from taking another batting cage flyball to the top of the head.
It happens more frequently than I like and if it hasn’t happened to you, you probably haven’t coached long enough… LOL!

A  good quality pitchers L screen with hood is safer for batting cage batting practice; The concept makes sense and of course, safety is not an area where you should try and save money!
My recommendation is to bump up against your budget so you know you are getting the best quality for the money you have to invest.

The price matches the features size and materials and is recommended for high school teams, youth baseball or softball or backyard fastpitch training.
I don’t know if it is ideal for short toss or front toss drills with older players in that a padding kit is not yet offered.

The frames have square tube galvanized steel that’s heavy enough without being too heavy for one pitcher/coach to make angle adjustments during BP. This also means less bottom-of-frame-wobble common with most frames (though wheels are still recommended). This should not be such an issue IF players are instructed to not allow the screen to slam when setting up or when transporting from the ballfield!

How About The Wheel Kit With an L Screen With Hood?

I am a fan of adding a wheel kit to any team screen that I have to move. And absolutely any pitching screen that has to change between RH & LH hitters.
My typical  7′ x 7′ L screens would always seem to catch the batting cage net as I move it from its home (parallel with the batting cage net) or when I am moving it into or out of position.
Finally, I started adding wheel kits and yes, it is just too easy to ever go back to picking up a screen by the net and carrying it…. good thing someone invented the wheel!

In Summary

It has an adult size footprint
It has a heavy duty frame that’s 1 ½” galvanized steel
It’s net is a slip-on style double strength #36 that’s twisted & knotted… and replaceable
It has an optional wheel kit for changing from LH to RH batters & simpler transport
It has inexpensive detachable leg stems for easier storage

If it fits your needs and is within your budget, I think you will be happy!

I hope my thoughts will help you to make a good buying decision.
