Wheel Pitching Machines
1, 2 & 3 Wheel Models & Optional Auto Ball Feeders
The most popular types from backyard baseball to pro baseball pitching machines are found in this category. They use a spinning wheel(s) & a motor to propel the wheel(s). Most wheel pitching machines have adjustable speed controls, plus direction & height adjustments. All are mounted on a steel frame with some having a protective housing that’s attached to a tripod. All run on 110v current & can handle a generator or inverter.
Most can be purchased as baseball pitching machines, softball pitching machines & some are in a combo unit for both sports. 1 wheel pitching machines are considered as entry-level and are limited to velocity up to 70+ mph depending on model with only a very few offering a curveball ability. 2 wheel pitching machines are still the most popular for their added velocity and ability to throw about any pitch you might ever face & now 3 & 4 wheels that throw about anything you could want at Major League speeds.
Baseball Auto Ball Feeders
Auto Ball Feeders are a must for the solo player and are generally sold as an optional upgrade. We offer most of the only wheel pitching machines with a built-in ball feeder and though there are very few separate auto ball feeders on the market, we have the very versatile BATA Baseball Auto Ball Feeder that can be used seamlessly with most wheel pitching machine models and brands. Note that we do not believe in selling this feeder without a remote control for coaching and safety reasons. It adds little to the cost and is the right thing to do and own.
Arm Pitching Machines
Iron Mike Arm Style Pitching Machines (rack fed & hopper fed models)
These are sometimes known as Iron Mike Pitching Machines. That is the made in USA brand you may have seen & used at a commercial batting cage. They’re weatherproof & tough enough for years of service without issues. All include auto ball feeders with corded remote controls in a gutter-style rack or a huge hopper that holds hundreds of baseballs, softballs in leather or dimple ball varieties.
