Our on-deck circles are pro quality, meaning spikeproof/spike-resistant turf, weatherproof, very thick, and heavy turf circles with a perfect weight backing that resists mold, winter weather and anything else mother nature throws at it.

We carry standard 4′, 5′ or 6′ diameters in field green or team colors with optional logos or artwork being offered for an upcharge. This becomes affordable especially when sponsors are advertised or for high profile ball fields or stadiums.

Your Source for On-Deck Circles

On-deck circles have a turf face and a heavy weatherproof backing. The thick and spongy backing comes in contact with the ground or a concrete base. The backer provides cushion, durability, and makes for a firm, but flexible product.

Our fungo circles are all pro turf regardless of your age group or level of play. Either you buy the good stuff or you replace it frequently, so we feel that cost of ownership is worth buying correctly. We offer only virgin nylon surfaces and 5 mil backer (very thick and spongy) great for coaches who spend hours hitting fungo!

4 ft. diameter is best for smaller ball fields such as those with 60 ft. bases typical in the 12 and under market. It also works well on some fastpitch fields, and those on a budget. Not the best size for coaches who hit fungo.5 ft. diameter models are definitely the most popular size, especially for larger fields with 90 ft. baseball base paths and high school and of course college fastpitch fields too. They roll up easily for moving on and off the field too.

When rolled, it tends to crease in the middle so may require 2 people to comfortably move on and off the diamond. They look awesome with team logos and are great selling points for your sponsors! I’ve even seen these in minor league ballparks used down the foul lines where fans can see still see the sponsor logo and where coaches might hit outfield fungo!

A Final Note On Size Choices: when in doubt, go with 5-foot models.

4 Ways To Install Pro-Style On Deck Circles

  1. Simply set them where you want them and that’s it. This is desirable especially for those who wish to move them or store them during the off-season
  2. You can dig a circle of about 1” deep, removing the grass and/or dirt so that the circles are slightly recessed. This helps create a bit less of a tripping impediment.
  3. You can pour a concrete (bags of concrete work easiest) circle of 4″ inches and glue them with any latex glue such as Henry’s Glue, which is readily available at Home Depot, Lowes or similar types of stores.
  4. You can set or glue your fungo circles to a piece of 1/2″ to 3/4″ outdoor plywood cut into a circle. Then optionally bury the plywood a few inches. This makes it easier to remove and replace. You then simply glue the on-deck circle to the plywood for a permanent application or set it for the ability to move or remove it on demand.
