http://baseballtips.com/weblog/2009/06/05/quick-baseball-tips-for-youth-players-coaches/ Coach JP's Clubhouse Blog Tue, 21 Jul 2009 00:21:03 -0400 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.8.4 hourly 1 http://baseballtips.com/weblog/2009/06/05/quick-baseball-tips-for-youth-players-coaches/comment-page-1/#comment-584 Don Ervin Wed, 08 Jul 2009 18:12:18 +0000 http://baseballtips.com/weblog/?p=218#comment-584 Coach, I enjoy your comments,I have played minor league ball and am a devout fundamentalist and knowledgeable teacher able to help all players basically and more so at all nine positions mentally and physically which I can say is on the average teaching level non-prevalent with most present day people who handle sports players and teams of players particular in baseball which also includes professional ball up to and including major league ball, the general publics impression of pro. ball is that there is an abundance of qualified teachers of the game to teach pro. players at each level how to become better is a down right fallacy, especially pitching teaching capabilities, I observe games here in Springfield, Mo. at the double{A] level for instance and see pitchers who obviously certainly can throw the ball but due to their total lack of good mechanics, due to the total lack of getting proper assistance with how to make the proper adjustments, due to the lack of knowledgeable, experienced, teaching coaches right up the line to where they are now, It makes absolutely no difference, as most people are led to believe,how much or what level a person has played on they must have teaching qualities to be able to sucessfully convey their acquired knowledge to another person, which there is not,and is the real sad case throughout amateur baseball and athletics altogether,I actually feel sorry for pitchers and those wanting to improve on their hitting skills at any level who do not have a qualified "teacher" to help them on a regular day to day basis, there are entirely too many unnecessary elbow, arm and shoulder operations from the youth ages up to and through the major leagues due to the lack of proper teaching from experienced and knowledgeable teachers who can teach proper mechanics and how to deliver each pitched ball to it's intended target starting from the ground up and using the whole body to do so which alleviates[RELIEVES] the arm tension tremendously and assists in preventing serious unnecessary surgeries and arm problems, I could go on and on.
