Infield Turf Protector & Team Bunting Trainer
The Bunt Zone is the perfect solution for protecting your infield turf during batting practice and a valuable visual training aid in one package. Now there is no need to separate "batting practice" from "bunting practice" because of the potential liability of other bunting targets. This saves valuable practice time that can be better utilized for other skills development.
The polyurethane enamel coating makes the Bunt Zone tough as plastic when it comes to protecting the grass, but as breathable as a mesh to allow water, air and light to get to the grass, further benefiting the turf.
No more need to set up cones for your bunting practince. The color coated patches that are fusion welded together to make up the full area of the Bunt Zone enable you to show your players where to bunt successfully. High School coach Dave Panicola notes, "When the Bunt Zone protector was put down on the infield, the boys instantly knew what I was teaching."
The infield area in front of home plate takes some of the worst beating of any areas on the field. So it's always been a good idea to have some sort of turf protection. For years, the only choices were to use a tarp or some sort of mesh cove, generally green in color.
The Bunt Zone Infield Protector is simply a better way to protect the field, while also providing your team with a hitting & bunting trainer that your club will use everyday.
The Bunt Zone is so good, it's patented. (U.S. Patent Nos.: D514644, 7160213)
Made of industrial-grade materials, this vinyl coated polyester mesh filed protector should last for many seasons to come. Ultraviolet and mildew inhibitors will add to the total life of the product by protecting it from the elements. It is tolerant of steel spikes and is virtually tear-proof, but I would still discourage using the area for drills or as part of a running surface, just to extend its life further. Because it is a mesh, it will not mat down or damage your infield turf.
Since it is lightweight and will not retain watter, putting on and taking it off the field daily is no problem at all. Grommets and stakes are provided for every color change on both the front and back edges. Some programs use them and some don't, but I recommend at least staking the corners.
New for this year is the Major League style that simply adds the yellow bunt-for-a- hit zone to the 1st base side. The quality is identical; it's the extra stitching, seaming and workmanship that adds slightly over the price of the standard version.
Large Size is 20' deep x 24' x 64' and fits most High School to pro fields.
Medium Size is 15' deep x 24' x 54' and fits only a few fields.
Small Size is 15' deep x 18' x 48' and fits Little league and softball fields.

I just wanted to write a short note to give my full and heartfelt endorsement for your Bunt Zone Infield Protector-Trainer. There are many aspects of it that have benefited my baseball program. As head coach of a very competitive baseball program, practice time is always of the essence. The Bunt Zone Protector-Trainer allows us to work on bunting, pull hitting, and middle - away hitting. all while protecting our infield grass!
The multi-colored zones provide instant feedback to both our players and coaches. I have been teaching the "pitchers triangle" (the area up the middle where NOT to bunt) for years, but when the bunt zone protector was put down on the infield, the Boys instantly knew what I was teaching.
It is easy to put on the field and is also just as easily folded up and put away. I have found that the material used to make the Bunt Zone product has proved to be very rugged and resistant to tears or holes (even when stepped on by a clueless, spike wearing freshman).
I purchase nearly $15,000 worth of equipment every year for my team and consider the money invested on the bunt zone protector trainer was some of the best money I've spent.
Sincerely,
Dave Panicola, Head Varsity Baseball Coach Satellite High School, Satellite Florida
