Hitters cannot control getting hits... too many variables from dominating pitchers to slick fielding position players who steal "sure hits". What a hitter can control is hitting something hard... somewhere! That means gaining greater knowledge of the strikezone which comes from training and experience.

In addition, being able to consistently hit a ball solidly takes practice. So how about practicing with a bat that makes you repeat proper movements and timing in practice- the same way you must execute at game time- while you are learning what a good pitch looks like.

Now you are learning to swing at strikes... and hitting them hard more often!

Using a small diameter bat is like taking game intensity at-bats... any time and any place you might take normal BP! Make yourself a live wire in the batters box with some focused practice habits.

If this inexpensive concept makes sense... get one now. Keep it in your bat bag and use it regularly!

As many of you regular readers know, I am a huge fan of any training device that does not ask any more time from a player's normal routine than he is presently willing to give. Advanced time commitments come from the heart.

Many times that heart grows larger and perhaps stronger with on field successes... and that's where our training devices come in!

Our small barrel bats just make baseball training sense!

If you can hit a small ball, you can hit a game size ball. When you add in a small diameter bat, it makes that focus even more noticeable. Hit more... miss less just by taking your normal cuts whether they are on a batting tee, in a soft toss or flip drill station or even front or live batting practice. Muscle memory becomes engrained quicker while consistent contact increases by players who will simply drill using a smaller diameter bat and then adding a smaller diameter ball into their normal routines!

This particular model is wood and is of game bat weight and lengths so you can hit real baseballs as well as the smaller and lighter tennis or whiffle balls too.

If the Broom Bat training bat does not fit your needs, feel free to take a look at our Swift Stick or our new Kinect Bat from Ripken.
