Description:
The Power Alley is our complete entry level portable backyard batting cage.
It is designed for younger players, smaller backyards or those on a strict budget.
It is built in 20 ft sections, so 2 can be easily combined to make a longer cage now or in the future as players and interest grow.
8 fiberglass pole sections have metal quick fit joints for quick and easy assembly with no special tools needed. It is portable enough to go up and down a few times each year without being a burden. Note that it was also private labeled as the Sandlot Batting Cage.
Coach JP’s Summary:
The Power Alley is a complete package with nothing else to buy. It stakes into the ground with the included 6” stakes and is stabilized with 4 end ropes and stakes and will withstand most weather though it’s always a good and easy idea to take simply drop the poles, leaving them flat on the ground during stormy weather. Definitely take it down during any snow season.
I really like the built in harness on all Heater Brand batting cages as it makes it very simple to use all Heater Pitching Machines while keeping me safe and outside the cage
Personally, I prefer our slightly more expensive but similar concept Xtender Backyard Batting Cages, as they are a bit more heavily built and available in longer sections of 24’, 30’ and 36’. All can be combined to make longer backyard batting cages.
But I have no trouble with those who prefer The Power Alley… It’s entry level but certainly not junk.

Description:
The Xtender Backyard Batting Cage is also a complete system with nothing else to buy… The great price and features makes it our most popular backyard batting cage. It is great for all ages of youth baseball and fastpitch players and practical for the occasional team practice behind your house!
It is called the Xtender because it can be combined with any of the 3 lengths of batting cage sections. You can purchase sections in 24 ft, 30 ft and 36 ft lengths; giving you choices up to 72 ft overall! Each frame section uses rigid tubular steel on the sides and bendable fiberglass to form the arches. Assembly is easy with no special tools or skill required. A hammer and a step ladder make it easier… and an extra set of hands will save you some time.
Taking it down during any off season and during snowy winters is recommended and easy. Snow can add weight and snap the poles so offseason removal is advised in any climate and will give you extra seasons of use… lowering your total cost of ownership.
Coach JP’s Summary:
This Xtender has opened up backyard baseball & fastpitch training to a whole new group of families who want something of reasonable backyard size and without needing a permanent structure… not to mention its very reasonable price!
It comes complete and ready to assemble and does not require any special handyman skills or tools!
Xtender batting cages stake into the ground with the included 12” stakes & are stabilized with 4 end ropes. It’s weather resistant and will give you many years of service but I do suggest taking it down during any off season. Summer sun AND winter winds are tough on netting so it makes sense to get more life out of it by not leaving it up when its not being used.
