The Hit Streak only uses 2 oz. regulation baseball-sized safety foam training (SFT) balls. Normal baseballs weight 5 oz.
However, the SFT balls do provide a major benefit for youth and experienced hitters.
For younger players, the 2 oz. ball reduces the fear of getting injured by a pitch. Because the batter no longer has to worry about being hit with a hard ball, he'll be able to fully focus on hitting.
For older players, the unique compression of the polypropylene SFT ball enables it to break sharply, making the Hit Streak one of the most realistic curve ball machines on the market.
Also, the SFT ball can be used in any pitching machine and is great for tee or soft toss drills. The ball is perfect to use outdoors or inside, where its light weight won't cause damage.

The all-new Hit Streak Feeder is engineered exclusively for use with the Hit Streak Pitching Machine.
It holds 12 SFT baseballs and features all steel construction with a tough nickel plate finish. This rugged design matches the reliability and durability of the Hit Streak itself.
The two-piece chute design allows quick and easy assembly as well as convenient transport and storage. The Hit Streak Feeder mounts directly to and rotates freely with the Hit Streak throwing head. This allows use in all of the different pitch settings. It uses a 110-volt motor and is factory adjusted to an 8-second ball release.
