When you hear pitching machine you might think batting practice more often than you would think about fielding. That might change once you get your hands on the Heater Deuce. This two-wheel pitching machine can do it all. With its pivoting head and dual wheels, with separate controls, you have ultimate control over the speed and direction of each pitch. Not only will you have control over pitches, you can aim the head up and increase the speed for fielding practice against fly balls as well. Or aim it lower and make the top wheel spin faster to give you infielder's some ground ball practice.
The Heater Deuce can throw real leather baseballs or dimple balls. We suggest ballistic leather balls with inlaid seams for a longer lasting machine and more realistic feel.
Two Wheels Means...More Versatile!
The Deuce will throw a faster and sharper-breaking LH and RH breaking ball.more so than single wheel machines. Of course it also throws fastballs. 2 wheels also makes the pop flies higher and makes for a more realistic ground ball as well.
It's Got Juice!
The maximum fastball speed of 75 MPH is equivalent to a 91 MPH fastball when positioned 46' from the plate.
But in a Small Package
The Deuce weighs in at only 60 lbs and stands on three strong steel tube legs with rubber feet. It includes a 12-ball auto-feeder and a one-year warranty.

Is it as good as a 2 wheel pro machine?
Absolutely not! If you want or need a 90 or 100 mph machine that throws The Rocket's 4 seam fastball, Mariano's cutter, Smoltz's slider or even Pedro's dead fish change up...do yourself a favor and check out OUR BEST...The BATA 2 wheel pitching machine or our BATA 3 wheel pitching machine!...They are simply the best!
The Reality
The Deuce will throw hard enough and will give your players all the looks they need. to prepare them for facing good fastballs plus the curveballs and sliders they will unfortunately begin seeing way too soon.absolutely by age 13 and in some leagues by age 11.
It will give you quality practice for the learned skill of hitting fastballs and breaking balls.for less money than has been previously available in a 2 wheel machine.right in your own backyard!
The Downside:
It doesn't throw 90 mph or have the precision pitch-changing movement of its 2 wheel peers in the pro category (remember, there are no comparative 2 wheel models near this price as of this writing). And, there is some assembly. Not difficult but count on 30 to 40 minutes (lots of nuts and bolts for the leg sections). The auto feeder works but is a bit slow at 9 seconds between pitches. I prefer to use this line of machines without the feeder but it is plenty good for the unbelievably fortunate player who can come home and hit by himself!
This machine is recommended for older and/or more advanced ballplayers, ages 12 & up.

Summary:

Our PRO dimple balls will outlast any good leather baseball by a ratio of 10 to 1 while still providing good "pop" and "feel". They will not waterlog and will wear out before they break!
We sell top quality dimple balls by the dozen. Our weatherproof yellow balls are the same size and weight as leather baseballs but have a 15% compression ratio that makes them easier on players' bats and hands, especially in colder weather.
