120 DAY GUARANTEE
The GOBON #5 is guaranteed not to break for 120 days from the date of purchase. All you need to do is send in your proof of purchase within 14 days of receiving the bat to make this guarantee valid. If it does break during the guarantee there is no limitation on the number of bats that will be replaced. The only use of the GOBON #5 that voids the warranty is hitting plastic dimple balls, occasionally used in some pitching machines.

Coach JP Tests the Gobon Bat
The Brett's sent me two Gobon Bats to test out some months back as per our conditions for adding new products to our business.
I was neither skeptical nor optimistic but I certainly liked the idea of a wood bat that would last long enough that the manufacturer could guarantee it.and for 120 days with no limit to how many swings a player or team could take!
It is logical that there is a real market in creating a cost effective alternative for players whose lack of wood bat experience may likely cause a lot of broken bats (a very expensive test!)
But hey, there's enough junk out there already.and for BIG MONEY TOO!
So let's just say that I was cautiously optimistic being that I had already been down the road to wood bat disappointment before.
The Test
I took both models out to the cage and began taking bunts to get some timing and see how it felt through my hands. Nothing out of the ordinary so far. The sound and the pop was good.
After loosening up, I began hitting as I usually do.10 swings oppo, 10 middle & away, then 10 to pull (which I did poorly as I do not have the good quickness and good mechanics that I once had). Many of those first swings to pull were hit off the end of the bat (the contact area where 70% of all wood bats bite the dust). This was due to my front shoulder flying open as once again I was reminded of my past youth.
Hitting 'em Where You Shouldn't
I then began purposely hitting ball after ball off the end of the bat to see what damage I could do.
20 swings later, I stopped and examined the bat. There were a ton of ball marks proving that I was indeed hitting off the bat's end. but no structural damage!
I swung without gloves and my hands stung a bit, but not any more than with any other bat under the same circumstances.
Hitting 'em Where You Shouldn't.Part II
I then turned the bat label-side down so I could see any ball marks on a "clean" side of the Gobon so I could hit balls off the handle. It was not a pleasant experience and I stopped after less than 10 of these mis-hits.but again, no structural damage!
In Summary:
I can honestly say, that if you are in the market for a wood bat but either you have a history of breaking bats or think this may be a problem for yourself or your team.this is a very good choice for you to consider!
