Akadema Prosoft Series Baseball Gloves
Created to meet the desire of players looking for the distinct advantage of a game-ready glove, the Prosoft series is Akadema's newest innovation. These hand-crafted gloves are light and playable right out of the workshop.
The soft series was constructed with Akadema's exclusive GameDay Prosoft Steerhide to give a player an unparalleled fit and feel from the moment they receive their glove. Almost no break-in is required!
Perfect for ages 12-14, players who need a 2nd position glove, rec players and for any coach who isn't interested in breaking a glove in all season
(coach's hint - check out the awesome APP B240 catchers mitt).

12" pattern, B-hive web, open back, and deep pocket designed for a pitcher or third baseman.
Next Glove..The ultimate Utility glove! Use it for almost any fielding position where an average size glove will work...including pitching. The really wide stance is ideal for slowpitch infielders too. EZ break in and reasonable price makes it a good idea for coaches. Retains its shape well!
Only: $99.90
Stock# G40
The all-black APP-B240 catcher's glove has a 33.5" circumference, Spiral-Lock web, Stress-Wedge technology, Double-sided Slim Padding, Triple Hammock, open back and deep pocket.
Coach JP Note: Due to the EZ BREAK-IN and perfect size & price, the APP 240 is really popular for team use, adult players, and coaches & Dads who want to catch their own pitchers!
Next Glove..The leather is of good quality, the lacing is thick and strong. The stress wedge will absolutely reduce bone bruising and sting. It's even been designed to provide a bit larger pocket than usual as well as making it easier to get your throwing hand in and out quicker. The double hinged pocket actually snaps the glove closed upon ball impact!
NOTE: For players who catch harder throwers such as High School pitchers and above, I recommend that you look at the two pro Catchers Mitts we offer such as the APM 40, which is the same model as this one, but in our Pro Leather. For more accomplished catchers, the slightly smaller APM 42 is the correct choice. My reasoning is that the best catchers have great hands and seem to prefer a smaller (and sometimes lighter) mitt
The big plus of the ProSoft Series is that it is great for players who just have no interest or the extra time it takes to break in a Pro Line Mitt. It is lightweight when compared to our Pro Series. The price is a strong point as well.
The minus is that you cannot expect the longevity of a pro mitt if you are regularly catching high velocity fastballs of 80+ MPH. This is why I feel that this APP 240 is a fine choice for younger catchers and for adult catchers in leagues where high velocity is not the mainstay of the pitching staff.
